Night’s In Dalaran: Vermiliene’s Visit

A night out in Dalaran could bring about any number of possibilities. You could find an evening’s entertainment in drink at small bars and private clubs, a small concert in a courtyard venue down the way, even racier kinds of entertainment for patrons who know the right entry word when the bouncer asks, or even something as simple as dinner and watching the stars pass by overhead from a lofty vantage point. It was, after all, a magical city that many different people came and went from on all kinds of business or pleasure.

Kalec had spent evenings doing all of those at one point or another, but on this night he had met a mysterious seeming Blood Elf woman who introduced herself as Vermiliene at a private concert being held in the Legerdemain Lounge that he had attended. They hit it off with a chat about the musicians, and he was taken back by the sharp bite of her humor before she asked him if he was going to look surprised at her all evening or get her a drink like a gentleman. He wasn’t sure who laughed first after that, him or her, but drinks were purchased and their conversation continued it’s varied path from the political goings on, to waxing poetic about the nature of the universe and the powers that bind it.

As the evening wound down, Kalec had to wonder about how well the city had treated him through the years. How was it that his evenings could always start out so simple in concept and then out of the blue lady luck would grace him with something even more interesting? Was it the Light giving him a small blessing, or perhaps another force at work in the universe at large?

When the lounge had closed after last call, Kalec and Vermiliene found themselves headed down a side alley towards a small coffee shop that kept very late hours for the night crowds. It seemed however that the city had other things in mind for the pair of them, as two humans slipped out of the shadows and threatened the pair of them with daggers as they asked for all of the gold coin they carried. Without hesitation, the Paladin took in a breath and called upon the powers of the Light to slam into one of the frame of one of the muggers to stun them, while he grabbed up a piece of wood from a crate propped against a wall and broke it over the head of the other. When they realized they were outmatched, the two men ran deeper into the alleyway and disappeared.

Vermiliene had watched the whole affair from the sidewalk, and when Kalec returned she leaned up and brushed her lips against his cheek as a show of thanks before her sharp tone whispered into his ear, “I had planned to get you back to a room for some private time anyway, but for that, hero…I’ll lick you from head to toe.”

As the pair of them walked away from the alley and made their way towards his apartment, Kalec couldn’t help but have those thoughts come back to his mind again from earlier. They had gone from a night out, to then be in his apartment and his room as they pulled their clothes off and looked at each other in lust. Of course he didn’t mind the company that he was with, but part of him found it funny and made him wonder what was it about mischievous blood elf women that always seemed to find them flirting with him and then getting naked in his room? It couldn’t have just been the drinks, and the late night act of heroism could it?

After Vermilline took her clothes off, she crawled into bed next to him and leaned over his chest to place a long smooth lick across it until her tongue tip stopped at his nipple and teased.

Suddenly, all those thoughts he had disappeared and a few newer ones came to mind that seemed far more important in the moment.
