Sinalya’s Negotiation - Secret of the Altar of Carnal Sins

The Altar of Carnal sins wasn’t just a discovery, it was a revelation of understanding more of the strange nuance and methods by which the denizens of the Shadowlands could harvest the powerful essence of both life and memory to empower their realms. Contained within, Nihil had found books and scrolls that detailed the processes by which acts of debauchery and the utilization of the powerful forces of lust and sexual appetites could provide periodic and powerful bursts of anima for collection. Since the room had been sealed off however, he could only wonder if the nature of the denizens changed over time and those same types of power were exhausted or simply found to be too disturbing and were left behind through the eons.

Whatever the case was, the Archaeologist inside of him was giddy each time he slipped back into the Altar to read more from the old tomes and try to understand more about how the realms of the dead worked, no matter how strange or surreal. As he made his way to the lower levels of the Venthyr base of operations he quietly made his way towards an old storage room and when he was sure that no one was looking, stepped inside quickly. Through the dusty old crates, and behind an ancient looking book shelf he lifted the old tapestry which hung motionless and stepped through the hidden misty red mirror it concealed. The use of such items wasn’t that unfamiliar to him, given the Blood Elven teleportation orbs that used to link The Undercity and Silvermoon, but the feeling always made his skin tingle all the same.

His mission today was to see if an act of self appreciation would empower the anima collector in the room. His fingers made quick work of his chest plate as he moved forward and it was set off to the side before he stood up and realized he was not alone. Between the wings of the fierce looking gargoyle atop the anima collector a topless blood elf woman looked down at him with a slight smile on her deep ruby lips. Her gold eyes studied him for a moment and then she spoke as her arms raised up to the wings at her sides to take on a more casual pose, “Well then, it seems I was correct in guessing you might return here again. Though who could blame you, hmm? An errant Blood Knight, taking his Night Elf companion away to a storage closet to fuck like animals. Imagine my surprise when I went to the storage room in order to warn such a couple that some of the Venthyr were getting closer and that they might want to keep it down when the room was empty...save for some hurried footprints in the dust.”

Nihil looked to both of his sides as if he expected to see someone else there as well, but found the corners of the room empty. He let out a slow, even breath as his mind raced to come up with a reply. “I...suppose I should have expected this, thinking I was more sneaky than I actually am.” He cleared his throat and rolled his shoulders back, “My name is Kalec…”

The blood elf woman who was watching him moved a hand from its perch and then spoke quickly, “I’m not interested in a long winded greeting, Knight. You can call me Sinalya...but I think that perhaps you and I should have a bit of a talk wouldn’t you agree? The old books here were very informative.” Sinalya stepped out from her perch to reveal that she wasn’t just topless, but completely nude.

As she moved more into his line of sight, he couldn’t help but notice the ornate piercing of her navel and how it brushed against her skin while she moved, the small ornate feather at the bottom catching the red light from the lanterns above them. When she took a seat on the edge of the fountain and crossed her arms as she looked at him with a slight smile and Nihil’s eyes widened as he realized the glow from the anima fountain behind him was brighter than it should have been which meant she had been busy with her own research when he entered.

“Now then. It seems to me a place like this could fetch quite a bit of coin or favor if the right people were informed, Kalec.” Sinalya looked him over for a moment, noted the way that his eyebrows seemed to pinch and a slight frown touched his lips. “Why keep something like this a secret?”

“Would you want to have everyone who’s walked into the Shadowlands stumbling around in here, taking the books, scrolls and plaques away to some collection for a handful of coins? Not to mention, the amount of just...not good that could come with this sort of place being used by people with cruel intentions,” Nihil drew in a breath and shifted a bit where he stood.

“I see. It’s true, I can imagine that if put to improper use this place could be as dark as the charnel pits of the Scourge for those with darker appetites,” she tilted her head a bit and looked at him before a smile crept over her lips. Her arms uncrossed, and she spread her legs as she leaned back. “Your arguments are sound. How about we put this place to use and you can come over here and convince me a little more with that silver tongue of yours. We’ll split the anima when we’re done, and perhaps I can show you how to not leave a trail a child could follow.”

Nihil looked at her for a moment as he saw the shift of her demeanor and weighed his options. With a slight shrug of his shoulders he walked over as his hands went to his greaves and began to loosen his belt. “I guess that means negotiations are starting then.”

“Let’s hope you’re persuasion skills holds out, Kalec.” Sinalya laughed softly and shifted her legs wider in offer to the approaching Blood Knight.
